At Camp to Belong Maine, we welcome children and teens who have been separated from their sibling(s) due to separate foster care placements, separate kinship care, adoption into different families, or other planned living arrangements. Our camp is a place where siblings can come together to build memories, strengthen bonds, and enjoy a week filled with fun, healing, and connection.

Camper Applications
Camp To Belong Maine is a special overnight camp created for siblings who are living apart in foster care, kinship care, or adoptive homes. Our camp provides a safe, fun, and supportive space where siblings can spend meaningful time together, strengthen their relationships, and create lasting memories.
Who Can Attend:
Siblings aged 8–18
Have sibling(s) they are currently living separately from
Have at least one sibling living in Maine
What to Expect:
Campers spend the week enjoying a traditional overnight camp experience while focusing on what matters most—time together as siblings. The week is filled with fun activities, sleeping in cabins, opportunities to reconnect, and moments that help strengthen sibling bonds.
Activities may include:
Swimming
Ropes course and climbing challenges
Campfires
Tubing
Games, crafts, and other outdoor adventures
Special sibling-focused activities and celebrations
Throughout the week, siblings have dedicated time to laugh, talk, play, and simply be together—something many of our campers don’t often get to do.
Camp To Belong Maine is more than just camp. It’s a place where siblings can reconnect, build memories, and feel a true sense of belonging.

Overnight Counselor Details
Spend a life-changing week helping siblings reconnect. Our campers are siblings who live apart in foster, kinship, or adoptive homes, and camp gives them a rare opportunity to spend meaningful time together.
As an Overnight Counselor, you’ll live in a cabin with campers, support them throughout daily activities, and help create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where their relationships can grow. From silly songs and campfires to powerful moments of reconnection, counselors are at the heart of the camp experience.
You don’t need previous camp experience—just compassion, energy, and a passion for helping young people feel seen, supported, and connected.
Day Volunteer Details
Want to be part of the Camp To Belong Maine experience but can’t commit to the full week? Day Volunteers play an important role in helping camp run smoothly and creating an amazing experience for our campers.
Day volunteers must be 18 years or older and can choose the shift or shifts that work best for their schedule. Whether you join us for one shift or several throughout the week, your support makes a big difference.
Day Volunteers Help With - Assisting with daily camp activities, Supporting our overnight counselors and staff, Helping set up and prepare for signature camp events, Pitching in wherever extra hands are needed to keep camp running smoothly.
Day volunteers help create the fun, welcoming environment that allows siblings to focus on what matters most—spending time together and building their bond.
